our values
  • We believe creativity draws us closer to our Creator. When we bring our entire selves—mind, body, and spirit—into worship, we experience joy, refresh our spirit, and discover profound transformation.

  • We believe people are designed for connection. Whether inside our walls or across our community, we foster genuine connections and supportive relationships so that everyone has someone to journey with through all seasons.

  • We believe we’re always on a faith journey. Whether you’re just beginning to explore, have been walking in it for years, or revisiting it once again, The Naz community is a safe place to learn, question, strengthen, and grow closer to Jesus.

  • We believe in generosity that knows no bounds. From selflessly sharing our time and resources to our friendship and support, we are compelled to serve others like Jesus did.

OUR BELIEFS

  • God reveals himself in three different “persons” (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), but we only believe in one God.

  • We believe that through the Holy Spirit, God inspired all 66 books in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. There are other books that can be helpful in your Christian walk, but the Bible contains all truth you need to have faith in Christ and know how to live for him.

  • Because of Adam and Eve’s “original sin,” we are born with a tendency that pulls or pushes us toward doing things that are wrong. Our fallen nature means that we cannot save ourselves and we need God.

  • Those who don’t repent and believe in Christ before they die enter into eternity, hopelessly and eternally separated from God (lost). Eternal separation is a choice that we make by not accepting the gift of salvation, not something that God wants for us.

  • We believe that Jesus’s death on the cross and the gift of salvation is for the sins of all human beings and that anyone can accept this gift and be saved (we don’t believe that some have been already chosen to go to heaven and some have been chosen to go to hell). When a person invites Jesus into their life, they are made new and made free.

  • We believe that after coming to faith in Christ, you can and should grow in your faith to a place where you allow God to fill your life and lead all aspects your life. It is possible to live a life that is fully devoted to God through the help of the Holy Spirit.

  • You can “be sure” … you can “know” that God has worked in your life and saved you. This happens through the Holy Spirit giving you “assurance” of what God has done, so you don’t have to guess or be afraid of where you stand with God if you are living a life that is devoted to Him. If we choose to move back into a life of sin, we can lose our salvation, but God is always calling us back to Him and taking steps towards us.

  • Jesus is going to come back one day to restore all of creation to Himself. The dead will be raised, and final judgment will take place for everyone. We don’t take a stance on when or how that will happen, but it is an important part of our faith in Jesus as we look forward to, and live into, this reality.
