Philippians 2:3-4

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

As the youngest of five and the only girl, I grew up constantly seeking affirmation and trying to be noticed. This verse has been a continual reminder that in a very "me-centered" world, we must be intentional about looking beyond ourselvesβ€”seeing the needs, hurts, and joys of others, and choosing to help and celebrate alongside them.

Prayer
Focus our attention, Lord, to see and hear the needs of all those we meet this year. Give us hearts to serve our school, students, and families.
