Payroll Specialist / Human Resources Generalist

The Naz Church is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist / HR Generalist to join our mission-minded Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about serving employees, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and finds joy in bringing order and support to people processes.
This position uniquely blends the technical responsibility of payroll administration with the relational aspects of HR support. As a key member of our HR team, you will manage all stages of the employee lifecycle using our UKG HRIS platform—from recruitment and onboarding to payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and offboarding. You will also help maintain accurate employee records, support workers’ compensation and benefits programs, and assist the HR Director with special projects and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of HR Generalist experience and 5+ years of payroll experience preferred
Experience with UKG or similar HR/payroll platforms strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, wage/hour compliance, and HR best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); comfortable with web-based systems
CPS Payroll certification preferred; UKG certifications a plus
Willingness to pursue certification if not currently held
