HVAC Technician

The Naz Church – Grove City, OH

The Naz is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance team. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this full-time role is responsible for maintaining safe, comfortable, efficient, and reliable facilities across our campus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair campus HVAC and mechanical systems

  • Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, and walk-in units

  • Perform preventative maintenance and assist with seasonal equipment needs

  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

  • Assist with general building maintenance and repairs

  • Provide facility support for church services, school activities, athletic events, and other campus needs

  • Participate in a rotating Sunday and on-call schedule

  • Respond to occasional after-hours facility emergencies as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, primarily Monday through Friday during daytime hours. The HVAC Technician will also participate in a Sunday rotation approximately every three weeks and a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of commercial HVAC experience

  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required

  • Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration repair required

  • NATE and/or HVAC Excellence certification preferred

  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance beneficial

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the Facilities team

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces

  • Ability to safely use ladders, hand and power tools, and work on roofs or at elevated heights as needed

  • Willingness to obtain additional department-required safety and equipment certifications within the first six months of employment
