NEXTGEN PreTeen & Middle School Pastor

Position OverviewNextGen at The Naz is prayerfully seeking a full-time NextGen Preteen & Middle School Pastor to shepherd and lead our pre-teen and middle school students through dynamic programming, intentional discipleship, and meaningful outreach. This role is a key part of the NextGen leadership team and helps cultivate environments where students can encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and engage in authentic Christian community.
The ideal candidate is a high-capacity, relational leader who empowers volunteers, embraces collaboration, and fosters a healthy ministry culture. We are seeking someone who is teachable and trainable, committed to ongoing spiritual and professional growth, and passionate about partnering with students and families in the discipleship journey.
This position requires flexibility, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills, along with consistent attention to detail. A servant-hearted approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to minister across generational lines are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee pre-teen and middle school ministry environments
Create and implement engaging, Christ-centered programming and discipleship pathways
Shepherd students through relational, Spirit-led ministry
Recruit, equip, and empower volunteers to serve with excellence
Partner with parents and families in the spiritual development of students
Collaborate with the NextGen team and church staff to support the overall mission and vision of The Naz
Foster a healthy, welcoming, and growth-oriented ministry culture
Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree preferred
Previous ministry experience required
Willingness to pursue a Local License with the long-term goal of ordination within the Church of the Nazarene
Demonstrated ability to lead, shepherd, and disciple students and volunteers
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of The Naz Church and NextGen Ministries
