The Naz Church is seeking a mission-driven Outreach & Sports Coordinator to lead sports and outreach ministries that connect youth and families to Jesus through athletics, relationships, and community engagement.

Position Overview

The Outreach & Sports Coordinator provides leadership for sports-based ministry initiatives, using athletics as a strategic tool to build relationships and reach unchurched families. This role leads leagues, camps, and clinics while creating environments where spiritual growth, discipleship, and community connection can thrive.

This position works closely with the Outreach & Sports Pastor and supports both church and community-based outreach efforts, helping extend The Naz beyond our walls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sports ministries including leagues, camps, and clinics

  • Provide spiritual leadership through devotionals, prayer, and discipleship at practices and events

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer coaches and ministry leaders

  • Build relationships with local schools, families, and community partners

  • Use sports as an outreach strategy to engage unchurched youth and families

  • Oversee scheduling, communication, and program logistics

  • Support broader outreach initiatives and churchwide events as needed

  • Create welcoming, organized, and impactful environments for all participants

Qualifications

  • Growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ

  • Alignment with the vision and mission of The Naz Church

  • Experience in coaching, athletics, or sports ministry

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Relational, energetic, and team-oriented

  • Ability to lead and develop volunteers effectively

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends

  • Regular attendance at The Naz Church and ownership of its vision and mission
