NAZ CAFE GRILL COOK

NAZ COMMONS ASSISTANT MANAGER

The Commons Assistant Manager oversees and is responsible for the efficient operations of all areas of The Commons at The Naz Church. These areas include our playplace, front counter, and kitchen. The assistant commons manager works alongside various ministries of the church and the commons manager on a variety of tasks: scheduling, catering, event planning, and general management.  Our Ideal candidate is an individual who will lead by example. Someone who seeks to serve and learn and understand the staff and the ministries of The Naz. This candidate will be someone who serves the mission, vision, and values of The Naz by giving their efforts to help make things better and easier for the team in the sometimes-chaotic environment, while maintaining a level of professionalism, safety, cleanliness and upholding ministry standards. General duties include, but not limited to, assisting with employee management and supervision, participates in department meetings, assists with purchasing and oversight of budgetary goals, key leader to open and close the daily business operations and training of employees.

CONTROLLER (Full-time)

The Naz Church seeks an experienced Controller who has a passion for serving our church, school, childcare and commons area.  The Controller will work closely with the Business Manager to ensure all aspects of the accounting functions are performed accurately and timely.  Responsibilities include reconciling of bank and credit card accounts, preparation of monthly financial reports, budget analysis, cash flow forecasting, research and reconciling balance sheet discrepancies, facilitation of annal audit, month end and year end close, sales tax returns, 1099 reporting, and other duties as assigned.  The experienced Controller will ensure the integrity and confidentiality of accounting and payroll information by researching issues and by establishing quality control over financial transactions and reporting.  We desire a Controller who is well organized, an excellent communicator, and able to work under pressure while maintaining multiple deadlines.  Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is essential, and expertise in Excel is strongly preferred.  Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and product suite is helpful.  Our ideal candidate must have 3-5 years in a high-level accounting/controllership role, is self-motivated and dependable, has a servant’s heart and a desire for excellence.

MINISTRY EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (Full-time) 

The Naz Church seeks an experienced individual with the following experience/qualities: experience as an Executive Assistant or in Executive Management, superior communication skills, focused attention to detail, strong technical knowledge of online tools and software, the ability to thrive in a fast paced/service oriented work environment, and a heart for Christ and a love for people.The ministry executive assistant (FT/40 Hrs per week) will be reporting directly to the Lead Pastor.  The Executive Assistant provides executive support and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external connections on all matters pertaining to the Lead Pastor. The Ministry Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the board and senior management teams; organizes and coordinates executive relational efforts; and oversees special projects. The Ministry Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a Christ led, mission-driven, results-driven and fast paced environment. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment and confidentiality in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.  The Ministry Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.  Qualified candidates will have proven work experience as a Senior Executive Assistant or similar role, high level knowledge of office procedures, solid experience with office management systems, MS Office, online calendars, cloud systems and Google, experience using office equipment, possesses strong communication skills (via phone, email and in-person), experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive organizational information and excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work.  The candidate will have a High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Three (3) years of experience as a Senior Executive Assistant or a similar role is required.  This is a full-time, permanent position. We’re looking for someone who loves CHRIST, loves to help leaders and has a top administrative skill set.

SYSTEM ADMINSTRATOR (Full-time)

The Naz Church seeks an experienced System Administrator who has a passion for serving our church, school, childcare and commons area.  The System Administrator will work closely with the IT Manager to plan and implement new systems and technologies, harden security of current and future systems, and maintain and upgrade existing systems while supporting users through training and documentation.  Responsibilities include maintaining existing network systems, servers and equipment. The Administrator will install and upgrade computer components and software, monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software errors, ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure, create and maintain technical documentation, and effectively communicate use of technology with end users.  The experienced Administrator must have proven success in an IT role, experience with troubleshooting infrastructure networks, LANS, WANS, and must have knowledge and current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, operating systems, active directories, virtualization, and cloud computing (Microsoft Azure, Google Workspace). This person must have experience in project management and application integration, as well as knowledge of programming languages (PowerShell, Python, API). Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science is preferred. Must have ability to lift 50 or more pounds.

PLAY PLACE COORDINATOR (Part-time)

The Naz Playplace is seeking a part-time coordinator (Monday – Friday 10AM to 2PM approx. 20-25 hours a week) to be responsible for the overall success of the Play Place Area. This entails adhering to the ministry and the mission of the Naz Organization and Commons standards, expectations including outstanding customer service.  This position oversees the connection with the parents and children visiting our playplace.  We are looking for a candidate to connect and get to know these families – to present a heart for Christ and a love for people.  This coordinator will also continue to host a weekly storytime selecting a book, possibly guest reader and a fun craft.  We are looking to engage the community and get them involved in our organization.  This position will also complete  daily administrative tasks, including playplace check in, general organization questions, and back up receptionist.   A successful candidate will motivate, train, develop and direct team members to accomplish the objectives of the Playplace while supporting every ministry it encounters.

PROJECT MANAGER (Full-time)

The Naz is seeking a candidate to manage multiple projects in our various ministries.  The project manager will deal with contracts within church, school and childcare: custodial, landscaping etc. They will collect quotes and work closely with the facilities director with contractors on internal and external projects.  Candidate will coordinate with all parties to make sure project is run on track with requirements, deadlines and schedules.  The project manager will schedule and work with contractors and subcontractors.  The project manager will help the facilities director and staff with maintenance tasks and daily workloads to perform general maintenance, landscaping, masonry, carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC and electrical.  The project manager will provide administrative support as needed and undertaking project tasks as required.  We prefer a candidate to have a project management degree, with construction and/or maintenance experience with sound knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical.  Candidate will be proficient in MS office and have outstanding negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills in addition to exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Full-time)

The Naz seeks an Assistant Maintenance Tech to assist the Facilities Department in the day-to-day upkeep, repairs and maintenance of the church building and grounds, striving to keep the campus clean and inviting at all times. This may include working with the Facilities Manager, outside contractors, the custodial team, and volunteers from the school, church or childcare.  Candidate must be able to work as a team and individually, follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively and must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Position may reflect an evening and weekend hours, and/or holiday rotation may be required. HVAC certification preferred.  All this while serving others and sharing the love of Jesus Christ!  We seek a candidate that is teachable and trainable. This candidate must possess a high level of flexibility, including excellent creative problem-solving and attention to detail.

CUSTODIAL (Weekend Coverage)

The Naz Church is seeking weekend custodians.  Must be able to work as a team and individually, follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively and must be able to lift 50lbs. Responsible for maintaining high level of cleanliness in all areas throughout our large facility. Candidate must adhere to chemical usage procedures, maintain adequate supplies/equipment and practice universal precautions. Any other assistance required as job needs arise.  Position reflects daytime and evening hours on the weekend and/or holiday rotation may be required.
